Computational science, taught by the people who publish it

StemSkills Lab is a team of scientific experts with more than a decade of experience in sequence and structural bioinformatics, drug discovery and design, multiscale modelling of bio-chemical processes, and modelling of high-energy materials, using current computational methods.

  • 70+ peer-reviewed papers
  • 1,390+ citations
  • 10+ yrs in the field

What we do

The core life-sciences and material-sciences training division helps students and early-career researchers learn domain-level skills in biocomputing, and solve real problems at the interface of chemistry, physics, biology and medicine.

Hands-on training

Practical skills in your chosen area, from Bachelor to Master and PhD level, taught as projects rather than lectures.

Real research tools

Analyse complex biomolecular systems and large biomedical datasets: genomic, proteomic, NGS and microarray analysis.

Research projects

Short-term and long-term projects matched to a student's interests and specific subject areas.

Build software

Learn to develop web servers and stand-alone tools for your own analysis, not just run someone else's.

The team

Taught by published scientists

You learn the methods from people who use them in peer-reviewed research. Where a researcher keeps a public record, it is linked so you can check it yourself. Photos and per-person publication counts are shown only when one verified source covers everyone, so no one is presented unevenly.

Dr. Sitansh Sharma, PhD.

Published researcher in computational science.

Dr. Suresh Gorle, PhD.

Published researcher in computational science.

Learn a method properly, live

A small-batch cohort in molecular modelling, docking and MD simulations, taught by the people above. You run the full pipeline yourself and finish with results you can take into your thesis.
