Who can apply
- The University of Queensland states no citizenship, residency or visa condition anywhere on this programme's pages, including its FAQ, so we assert none. What it does impose is an institutional bar: you must be enrolled in an undergraduate, honours or postgraduate coursework programme at UQ when you apply and stay enrolled at UQ throughout the placement. An international student already at UQ is therefore in scope; a student at any other university is not. The Doctor of Medicine is excluded by name, and the programme is not open to higher-degree-by-research candidates. Your area of study must be relevant to the project you pick and you must show a high level of academic achievement. You need at least 20 unused unpaid work experience days available in the calendar year of the project. Each hosting research unit adds its own requirements and runs its own selection.
