Who can apply

• Women aged 18 to 35 at the time of application, in any country, who can show groundbreaking research, pioneering discoveries or exemplary contributions that advance knowledge and innovation in a STEM field of study or industry. Zonta's Designated Degree Program List defines which fields count. Z club and Golden Z club members may apply. Zonta club members, individuals with direct membership of Zonta International, and employees of Zonta International or the Zonta Foundation for Women cannot apply. Previous Women in STEM awardees cannot apply to renew for a second year. Applications must be submitted in English.
