Who can apply
- You must hold a doctoral degree granted between 30 September 2024 and 1 October 2026. Earlier graduation dates may be accepted for maternity or paternity leave, or for working contracts outside academia. You must not hold a permanent professorship, nor a habilitation or equivalent (venia legendi); candidates who already hold their own position funded by another programme are eligible if that funding can be transferred to Konstanz. Your proposed project has to tie in with a discipline represented at the University of Konstanz and you should name two potential local hosts, though you do not have to contact them first. Fellows must live in or near Konstanz. No nationality or residence restriction is stated anywhere in the call, and the working language is English. The application is a one-page letter of motivation, a five-page research proposal including references, a CV, a writing sample of at most 30 single pages and two reference letters; exceeding the page limits on the motivation letter, the proposal or the writing sample makes the application ineligible.
