• Bonafide Indian citizens holding a postgraduate degree in any branch of science with at least 60 per cent marks or the equivalent GPA, relaxed by 5 per cent for SC, ST, OBC and persons with disabilities. Candidates must either hold a valid fellowship from CSIR, UGC, DBT Category I, ICMR or BINC, or have appeared in the JGEEBILS examination conducted by NCBS-TIFR in December 2025. Candidates qualified only for lectureship in CSIR-UGC NET, or under DBT Category II, GATE, ICAR or the ICMR project category, are not eligible. The upper age limit for a JRF is 28 years as on 1 March 2027. Applications are accepted only through the online portal and a Gmail account is required.
