Science Academies’ Summer Research Fellowship Programme 2027

Who can apply: Students studying in India at a UGC, AICTE, MCI, accredited or private institution, at the specific stages the academies list: BS or BSc second year, BSc (Research) third year, BStat or BMath second year, BPharm third and fourth years, BE, BTech or BCA second and third years, BArch second to fourth years, MS, MSc… What is funded: A two-month fellowship to work with a scientist associated with the three academies during 2027, summer preferred. Selected students and teachers receive entitled round-trip train fare and a monthly fellowship towards living expenses at the place of work. The announcement states no figure for the monthly amount, so… Deadline: 30 November 2026 is the last date for receipt of applications online. - Students studying in India at a UGC, AICTE, MCI, accredited or private institution, at the specific stages the academies list: BS or BSc second year, BSc (Research) third year, BStat or BMath second year, BPharm third and fourth years, BE, BTech or BCA second and third years, BArch second to fourth years, MS, MSc, MVSc or MPharm first year, ME, MTech, MCA or MArch first year, MStat or MMath first year, five-year integrated MS, MSc, MTech, MBBS or BVSc second to fourth years, PharmD third and fourth years, dual-degree BTech+MTech, BE+MSc or BS+MS second to fourth years, integrated PhD first and second years, and MSc Tech first and second years. College and university teachers may also apply. Students need 65 per cent or above average marks in core subjects from class X onwards, excluding languages; that bar does not apply to teachers. PhD students are not eligible, and anyone who has already held the fellowship twice is not eligible. Marksheets from class X to the last examination must be uploaded as JPEGs of at most 700 kb each.
