Who can apply: Open to students from all countries holding (or finishing, before the programme starts) a Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field, or a medical degree. The programme runs in English; IELTS or TOEFL… What is funded: Structured English-language PhD programme in Munich run with LMU Munich, starting September to October 2027. Every IMPRS-TP student receives a salary and contract under the German public-sector scale (TV-L), paid from the supervising PI’s grants, and there are no tuition fees or other enrolment or participation costs…. Deadline: 31 October 2026 (references due 7 November 2026). Round: 2027 intake.

MBBS and MD-Masters holders may apply to the traditional PhD track but not the Residency/PhD track, which needs a German-equivalent medical degree and German at C1. Final selection runs March to May 2027.
