Who can apply
- You need a Master's degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Genomics, Computer Science or any allied discipline as per DST, DBT or ICMR norms for Senior Research Fellow, plus two years of work experience. The age limit is 35 years. Desirable experience covers bioinformatics analysis of NGS and whole-genome resequencing data from plant genomes including quality control, read mapping, SNP and indel discovery, filtering and annotation with FastQC or Fastp, BWA-MEM, SAMtools, BCFtools, GATK, FreeBayes and SnpEff or VEP, plus plant and population genomics, polyploid genomes, PCA, linkage disequilibrium, Linux and HPC work and Snakemake or Nextflow. CDFD invites applications from Indian nationals only, so this post is closed to international applicants. Selection does not make a Master's degree holder eligible to register for a PhD.
