Who can apply

  • Open to PhD students registered in an EBSA member country and to postdoctoral fellows working in one, so a reader based outside the EBSA member countries cannot apply and the restriction is on where you are registered, not on your nationality. The visit must be to an EBSA member country other than the one where you are based. At least one of you, your home supervisor or your host supervisor has to be a member of an EBSA member society, which means you do not have to pay for membership yourself if a supervisor already holds it. Past recipients may reapply, but not within 24 months of the end of a previous award and not if they failed to file the required report.
