Who can apply

  • Open to candidates of any nationality, but the age and residence bars are hard. You must be under 26 on the day applications open, you must show at least one year of undergraduate study already awarded by a university outside France and at least two years by the time you enrol, and you must not have been registered at a school or higher education institution in France for more than six months in total during the year of the competition or the year before it. Candidates who have applied to the International Selection once before may not apply again. The application asks for a high school diploma, a university transcript, a CV, a one to three page reasoned cover letter in French or English naming the department and discipline you want, and two to four letters of recommendation requested through the platform. Nothing on the scheme page or the programme FAQ asks for a payment to apply, and applications sent by email or post are not processed.
