Who can apply: PhD students, postdoctoral fellows, clinical fellows and junior faculty who are active research scientists on a cystic fibrosis-related project, which may be a thesis or dissertation project, a funded fellowship or a research grant, and who have at least one year of research experience at PhD-student level or above…. What is funded: Up to USD 3,000 for travel only, so that a PhD student or postdoctoral fellow can spend time in another laboratory or on a training course learning a technique their own institution cannot teach them. Who can apply

  • PhD students, postdoctoral fellows, clinical fellows and junior faculty who are active research scientists on a cystic fibrosis-related project, which may be a thesis or dissertation project, a funded fellowship or a research grant, and who have at least one year of research experience at PhD-student level or above. Applications for attending or taking part in scientific conferences are explicitly not eligible. The programme page states no citizenship requirement, and the Foundation's Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Award page on the same site limits support to 'U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and non-residents working in U.S.-based laboratories', so check with the Grants and Contracts Management and Administration office before applying from a lab outside the United States.
