Who can apply
- A Master's level degree in AI, bioinformatics, systems biology or a related discipline, or completed courses worth at least 240 credits of which at least 60 are advanced, or essentially corresponding knowledge gained another way. Required: strong programming and quantitative skills in Python or R, experience in deep learning, machine learning or large-scale omics data analysis, self-motivation and the ability to work in an interdisciplinary group, and fluent written and spoken English. Beneficial but not essential: foundation models, transformers, generative models or representation learning; large-scale single-cell omics; integrative multi-omics such as genomics, proteomics or metabolomics; PyTorch and high-performance computing; and molecular and cellular biology, systems biology or precision medicine. A letter of intent is required, describing the fit to the project and one research question the applicant would want to explore. The advert states no citizenship restriction, so international applicants may apply, but a non-EU appointee will need a Swedish residence permit for doctoral studies before starting.
