Who can apply: Nationals of an ICGEB Member State, which includes India. You may not hold the fellowship in your own country of origin unless you have worked abroad for at least the last 3 years, so an India-based Indian national must apply to Trieste or Cape Town, not to New Delhi. A recent PhD in the life sciences or at least 3… What is funded: One to six months. Monthly stipend of EUR 2,300 in Trieste, USD 1,749 in New Delhi and ZAR 27,500 in Cape Town. Travel from the home country to the ICGEB laboratory and back is provided, medical insurance is covered for the duration, and visa or permit-of-stay costs are reimbursed.
