Who can apply

  • You must either hold a PhD or equivalent degree obtained within five years of the application deadline, or be a PhD student who will defend your thesis before 1 April 2027. The fellowship must be based at a university or other non-profit research institution in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway or Sweden. The requirement is on the HOST, not on your nationality. You must submit a host letter from the Nordic host institution plus letters of support from any other institutions involved. Research focused primarily on livestock, feed or aquaculture is out of scope, as is work whose main component is nutritional uptake or clinical studies; pharmaceutical and therapeutic projects go to the Foundation's Bioscience and Basic Biomedicine committee instead. There is no application fee.
