You must already be enrolled in, and formally admitted to, a doctorate accredited by CONEAU in Argentina and be able to show how far you have got, so this is not an entry route from… What is funded: A non-extendable 24-month fellowship for doctoral candidates who need to finish a doctorate in Argentina, starting 1 April 2027. There is no age limit in this category. The work plan must be a research plan leading to the thesis defence within the two years and may not exceed five pages including the bibliography…. Who can apply
- Language bar first: only work plans written in Spanish are accepted, and an application in any other language is rejected outright. You must already be enrolled in, and formally admitted to, a doctorate accredited by CONEAU in Argentina and be able to show how far you have got, so this is not an entry route from abroad. Anyone who has already held a CONICET fellowship for four or five years is excluded, as is anyone applying to another CONICET category in the same round. Nationality is not a bar: the rules address candidates who started a doctorate on their own account or on a fellowship from the Agencia I+D+i or any other institution, and foreign beneficiaries living abroad are contemplated, though they must complete their own immigration process and CONICET funds neither airfares nor migration fees. Proposed thesis directors are required, but the candidate is the applicant.
