Who can apply

  • Nationals of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Mongolia, Ukraine or the Republic of Moldova only; no other nationality can apply. A BSc (Honours) is required for ICGEB Trieste, an MSc for New Delhi, and an MSc or equivalent for the ICGEB Regional Research Centre in China. You need a background in virology, microbiology, biotechnology or a related biological science and an interest in Dual Use Research of Concern. An English proficiency certificate is required unless your degree was taught in English. Women scientists are particularly encouraged. ICGEB charges nothing to apply.
