Who can apply
- Only for ASAB's own conferences and workshops, not for conferences generally. Applicants must be ASAB members or have applied for membership by the grant deadline and finished the process within a month of it. You must EITHER be registered for a higher degree at the time of application, or be without access to other conference funding (undergraduates and unwaged postdocs qualify), OR be a Developing Country Applicant, which means being both a citizen of and employed or funded by a World Bank low- or middle-income country; the two countries need not be the same, but both must be low- or middle-income. Presenting is not required, though applicants are strongly encouraged to present at least a poster. Repeat applications are typically funded at the same rate, except that previous upper-tranche awardees are unlikely to receive the upper tranche again. Society dues are a membership cost, not an application fee.
