Who can apply

  • Open to students at institutions anywhere in the world. You must be enrolled in, or accepted to start, a Master's or PhD in computational or data science no later than 15 October of the nomination year, and be less than halfway through it. The fellowships are specifically for women and members of racial or ethnic groups underrepresented in computing in the country where the degree is earned, with preference for candidates from disciplines other than computer science. You cannot self-apply: your current or future graduate advisor submits the nomination, and only one student per department may be nominated. No ACM or SIGHPC membership is required.
