For basic scientists with a PhD it pays USD 140,000 in total, made up of a USD 65,000 annual salary stipend and a USD 5,000 annual research allowance. For clinical neurologists with an MD or MD/PhD it pays USD 160,000 in total, made up of USD 75,000 annual salary support and the same USD 5,000… Deadline: 1 October 2026 (letter of intent). Round: 2027 award year.

Who can apply
- Open to national and international applicants. Basic-science applicants must be within five years of receiving their PhD when the award starts, meaning the degree was awarded on or after 1 August 2022. Clinical applicants must hold an MD or equivalent and be within three years of completing a neurology residency, meaning on or after 1 August 2024. Eligibility can be extended by up to two years for formal leave such as parental, family care, military or extended sick leave. A fellow must commit 80 percent of their effort to the funded project and may not hold an overlapping award from another source. Only one letter of intent per applicant per cycle, and only one award per institution.
