Who can apply: Holders of an MD, DO, PhD or equivalent who are no more than three years from a PhD (five from a medical degree, excluding residency and clinical fellowship) at award activation on 1 July 2027, and who have never held a nephrology-related or basic science faculty position. Active ASN membership (Fellow/Trainee… What is funded: The programme funds 10 fellows at USD 50,000 a year for up to two years to run original research projects under a sponsor’s direction. Who can apply
- Holders of an MD, DO, PhD or equivalent who are no more than three years from a PhD (five from a medical degree, excluding residency and clinical fellowship) at award activation on 1 July 2027, and who have never held a nephrology-related or basic science faculty position. Active ASN membership (Fellow/Trainee category) is required for the applicant and for every sponsor when the cycle closes. The proposed research objectives must be clearly different from the sponsor's own.
