It may be requested for up to 36 months initially, always starting on the first of a month, and is never granted for less than six months; fellowships linked to a Thematic Project, CEPID… Deadline: Rolling.

Who can apply
- Open to foreign candidates. You must have completed your doctorate less than seven years ago, with an excellent academic and postgraduate record and a curriculum showing research potential. The proposal is submitted to FAPESP by a Supervisor employed at a higher education or research institution in Sao Paulo state who holds a doctorate and has led internationally competitive projects, so you must secure that supervisor first. A foreign candidate is responsible for obtaining entry and stay documentation from the nearest Brazilian consulate. Applicants must be up to date with any previous FAPESP commitments and must declare any other award or fellowship sought for the same purpose.
