SofinaBoel Fellowships 2027, research or training stay abroad for PhD students

Who can apply: You must be a PhD student with a fully paid affiliation at a Belgian university both at the deadline and when you leave for the stay, and you must have been affiliated to a Belgian university for at least one full year before the deadline, paid or unpaid. Your MA or MSc has to have been obtained after 1 November 2022…. What is funded: FNRS and FWO, with money from the King Baudouin Foundation’s SofinaBoel Fund for Education and Talent, pay for a 6 month or 12 month research or training stay abroad for a PhD student based in Belgium. Who can apply

• You must be a PhD student with a fully paid affiliation at a Belgian university both at the deadline and when you leave for the stay, and you must have been affiliated to a Belgian university for at least one full year before the deadline, paid or unpaid. Your MA or MSc has to have been obtained after 1 November 2022. Nationality is not restricted, but because the affiliation requirement is a hard one, a reader applying from outside Belgium cannot enter this round. Holders of clinical PhD fellowships and applicants from the Royal Military Academy are eligible, past SofinaBoel awardees are not, and there is no application fee.
