FARA Graduate Research Fellowship
Friedreich's Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA)
Who can apply: Graduate students working under a mentor at a university, college, hospital, laboratory, government agency or company. The LOI is submitted through FARA’s grant portal and must include a one to two page personal statement of career goals and a mentorship plan developed jointly with the mentor, plus letters of support. What is funded: Up to USD 50,000 per year for up to three years. For fellowships the allowable budget is limited to the graduate student’s stipend, applicable fringe benefits including health insurance, and tuition and fees not otherwise covered by the institution.
