- Holders of an MSc or equivalent in medicine, biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, biomedicine or another life science, or a medical degree (Staatsexamen, MBBS). You may apply while still completing your master's if you will finish before the programme starts. HBRS asks for at least six months of independent research experience, such as a master's thesis, and very good English, usually shown by TOEFL, IELTS or similar. HBRS states the school is open to international students and currently has students from more than 40 countries.
