Who can apply: Nationals of an ICGEB Member State, holding a recent PhD in life sciences or at least three years of research experience. You may not apply to work in your own country of origin unless you have been working abroad for at least the last three years. Preference is given to candidates below the age of 35. What is funded: Two years with the possibility of a one-year extension. Monthly stipend of EUR 2,300 in Trieste, USD 1,749 in New Delhi and ZAR 27,500 in Cape Town, plus travel to and from the home country, medical health insurance and research costs. Deadline: 14 August 2026, 23:59 CET (Expression of Interest). Round: September 2026 round. Full application closes 30 September 2026, but only for applicants cleared at the EOI stage..
