Who can apply: Nationals of Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania or Uganda only. You need a recent PhD in the life sciences or at least three years of research experience, so BSc and MSc students cannot apply, and preference goes to candidates under 35. An English proficiency certificate is required unless your degree was taught… What is funded: Six months of postdoctoral training at an ICGEB laboratory. Monthly stipend of EUR 2,300 in Trieste, USD 1,749 in New Delhi and ZAR 27,500 in Cape Town, plus return travel from the home country, medical health insurance and reimbursed visa costs. Run with the African Institute for Capacity Development (AICAD). Deadline: 14 August 2026, 23:59 CET (Expression of Interest). Round: September 2026 round.
