Who can apply: Bachelor’s degree of at least 3 years (180 ECTS) with bachelor-level cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, microbiology-virology, physiology and immunology; open to biologists, biochemists, bioengineers, clinicians, pharmacists and veterinarians. English at B2+/C1 (for example IELTS 6.5 with each section… What is funded: Applicants of any nationality who apply in period 1 compete for merit-based Erasmus Mundus scholarships. A full scholarship (SHIC) covers the university institutional costs and pays life costs monthly to the student; a partial scholarship (IC) covers institutional costs only. Institutional costs are stated as 9,000… Deadline: MyLIVE period 1 is open from 18 November 2026 to 20 January 2027 (Lyon, France time). Referee letters are due by 31 January 2027. Round: MyLIVE period 1 (P1), 2027-28 (M2) and 2027-29 (M1+M2) programmes.

Who can apply

• Bachelor's degree of at least 3 years (180 ECTS) with bachelor-level cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, microbiology-virology, physiology and immunology; open to biologists, biochemists, bioengineers, clinicians, pharmacists and veterinarians. English at B2+/C1 (for example IELTS 6.5 with each section above 5.5, or TOEFL iBT 84). Direct M2 entry needs 240 ECTS and advanced immunology. Previous EMJM scholarship holders are ineligible for a new EU scholarship. Period 1 is the only route for applicants needing a scholarship or a visa.
