Who can apply
- Current paid-up Full, Full Concessionary or Postgraduate Student Members with at least one year of membership and two consecutive subscription payments, who have not held a grant from this scheme in the previous calendar year. Applicants must be registered for a PhD, or PhD qualified and employed in a postdoctoral research position at a university, hospital or research institute anywhere in the world, subject to the employment laws and practices of the countries involved. Full and Full Concessionary Members within five years of their first lecturer appointment are also eligible. A letter of support from your supervisor or head of department and an invitation from the host laboratory are both required at the point of application. Membership dues are a membership cost, not an application fee.
