Who can apply: Citizens of any country except Slovakia. Students must be enrolled at a university outside Slovakia, be master’s students (or have completed at least 2.5 years of the same or a similar programme), and hold an acceptance letter from a Slovak higher education institution. Master’s-level students may stay one to two semesters; PhD students and early-career researchers may stay 1 to 10 months. Who can apply
- Citizens of any country except Slovakia. Students must be enrolled at a university outside Slovakia, be master's students (or have completed at least 2.5 years of the same or a similar programme), and hold an acceptance letter from a Slovak higher education institution. PhD students must be enrolled in a PhD outside Slovakia and be accepted by a Slovak university or research institution such as the Slovak Academy of Sciences. Researchers need an invitation from an eligible Slovak institution; those without a PhD and with more than 4 years of experience are generally ineligible. Not open to students taking a full degree in Slovakia, to anyone who spent 15 or more months in Slovakia in the 36 months before the deadline, or to holders of another publicly funded scholarship for the same stay. The applicant must arrange the host invitation before applying.

The ORIGINAL acceptance or invitation letter from the Slovak host must physically reach SAIA in Bratislava no later than the 3rd working day after the deadline, by 12 p.m. The host institution may send it on the applicant's behalf.See the official page
