Who can apply
- You must attend an accredited US university as a full-time, in-residence student; both US and non-US citizens may apply, but the fellowship cannot support study outside the United States. You must have completed all qualifying exams by 28 February 2027, and you are ineligible if you expect to complete the PhD before 1 August 2028. You must already have authored a publication or presented a poster. Holders of an NIH F-series award are ineligible, and you may not hold another stipend-paying award while the fellowship is active. Students just beginning graduate school should not apply.
