Scheme A gives up to GBP 200 for travel and essential overnight accommodation at Genetics Society or Special Interest Group meetings, with no limit on how often you apply. • Scheme A is open to undergraduate, Master's and PhD student members and to postdoctoral members within six years of the PhD viva, which makes it one of the few awards in this list an undergraduate can apply for. Schemes B and C are open to PhD students and postdocs only, and carry a geography rule: UK-based members may attend conferences outside the UK, non-UK-based members may attend conferences in the UK, and applications from a non-UK base for a non-UK conference are refused. You must present a poster or give a talk. Genetics Society membership is required (GBP 10 undergraduate, GBP 30 postgraduate) and your supervisor must be a member too and quote their membership number in the support letter. Membership dues are not an application fee; the Society charges nothing to apply.
