Who can apply

  • The FAQ answers who may apply with "Anyone directly involved in species conservation can apply to the Fund for a grant", so this is open to individual researchers rather than institutions only. Focus is global with no restriction by region or species group. Previous awardees may apply again for continuation support once the earlier project is complete and all required reporting has been received by the submission deadline.

Stage dates

Single-stage online application. Read the application criteria first, especially on conservation status, and cross-reference the species status to a website or publication: an application with a clearly incorrect conservation status and no justification is not considered. Supporting documents may be emailed but the application itself must be online. The Fund states the submission deadlines are inflexible and that the deadline time is based on GMT.15 October 2026

Dates come from the funder's page for this round. When a round closes, the next round's dates replace these once the funder publishes them.
