Who can apply: Citizens of South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Namibia and eSwatini. Constituency-specific criteria are in the Information for Candidates document on the Rhodes page. What is funded: For the 2025-26 academic year the stipend is GBP 20,400 per year (GBP 1,700 per month), plus University of Oxford course fees, the Oxford application fee, student visa and International Health Surcharge, two economy flights to and from the UK, and a settling-in allowance. Deadline: 3 August 2026, 23:59 SAST. Round: Entry to Oxford in October 2027.
