Who can apply
- Pilot scheme for researchers who self-identify as being from a Black heritage background, including mixed Black background. Applicants must be a UK national, or have completed part of their undergraduate, Master's or PhD studies in the UK, or hold or have held a postdoctoral position in the UK; beyond that they can be of any nationality, and those needing a visa can use the Global Talent Visa fast-track. Applicants must have a PhD (final-year PhD students may apply with a supervisor's letter, and must pass the viva before starting) and less than 24 months of full-time postdoctoral experience by 18 November 2026. Research is held at an eligible UK host organisation.
