Who can apply

  • The regular 5+3 PhD programme requires a completed degree equivalent to a Danish master's degree (180 ECTS BSc plus 120 ECTS MSc) related to the subject area, for example Chemistry, Material Science or Physics. Applicants with a degree from abroad may alternatively hold a bachelor's degree equivalent to a Danish bachelor's degree and be academically qualified at master's level. The whole application must be in English. No citizenship restriction is stated and the university encourages all qualified candidates to apply regardless of personal background, but a non-EU appointee will need a Danish work and residence permit before starting. The advert seeks candidates in chemistry, physics, nanochemistry, material science or similar, including backgrounds in solid state chemistry or physics, chemical engineering and computational chemistry. The assessor decides which of the two programme models an applicant qualifies for.
