Who can apply
- You must be a US citizen or lawful permanent resident at the time of application, and 18 or older when the internship begins, so this scheme is closed to international students. You must be enrolled full time at an accredited community college, two-year college or four-year institution, or have graduated with an undergraduate degree no more than two years before the internship start date. You must hold a high school diploma or GED by the application deadline, have completed at least one semester as a matriculated undergraduate, have at least 6 credit hours in STEM fields and 12 total undergraduate credit hours by the deadline, and hold a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Advanced Placement and other pre-matriculation credits do not count. Proof of citizenship or permanent-resident status is requested only after an internship offer is accepted, not during the application. There is no application fee.
