Who can apply: Early-career researchers who will have completed a doctoral degree by September 1, 2027 in the mathematical and physical sciences, biological sciences, computer science, engineering or a related field, and who are less than seven years past the Ph.D. Prior biology experience is a plus but not required. Materials… What is funded: A three-year independent fellowship based in Chicago with a competitive salary (no figure published), generous research and travel stipends, access to Northwestern and UChicago, guaranteed acceptance to NITMB workshops and no teaching obligations. Deadline: For full consideration, applications must be submitted by November 15, 2026. Application review will continue until all positions are filled. Round: Fellows starting September 1, 2027.

- Early-career researchers who will have completed a doctoral degree by September 1, 2027 in the mathematical and physical sciences, biological sciences, computer science, engineering or a related field, and who are less than seven years past the Ph.D. Prior biology experience is a plus but not required.
