Who can apply
- You must be a US citizen, so this scheme is closed to international students. At the time of application you must be enrolled or accepted at an accredited college or university in the United States or a US territory as a full-time second-year student in a four-year undergraduate programme, a full-time third-year student in a five-year programme, or a community college or transfer student applying to a four-year institution. Transfer applicants must supply proof of application to a four-year institution and, if selected, proof of acceptance before 15 September. You must earn and maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale and hold a declared major in a NOAA mission discipline. NOAA charges no application fee.
