Who can apply: Postdoctoral researchers with no less than 3 months and no more than 3 years (36 months) of total postdoctoral research experience in their mentor’s laboratory as of 31 December 2026. Applicants must be United States citizens or permanent alien residents, and must hold or complete an MD, MD/PhD, PhD or equivalent… What is funded: A three-year mentored postdoctoral fellowship with an integrated communications and leadership training programme. The stipend is USD 70,000 for each of the three years, paid directly to the sponsoring medical school and usable only for salary support; no deductions for benefits or institutional overhead are allowed…. Deadline: 5 November 2026 (completed application plus all three reference letters and the mentor’s letter). Candidates are notified by 25 January 2027 and finalists are interviewed in person on 4 March 2027 in Pebble Beach, California. Round: 2027 award year.

Who can apply
- Postdoctoral researchers with no less than 3 months and no more than 3 years (36 months) of total postdoctoral research experience in their mentor's laboratory as of 31 December 2026. Applicants must be United States citizens or permanent alien residents, and must hold or complete an MD, MD/PhD, PhD or equivalent degree before activating the fellowship. The research must be sponsored by an accredited California medical school and carried out under a principal investigator holding a full-time or primary faculty appointment there, and the training arrangement must be in place before applying. Applicants who already hold tenure-track research positions or faculty appointments are ineligible, and a fellow cannot concurrently hold a full fellowship from another source or a federally funded career development award.
