Who can apply: A doctoral degree, PhD or MD, obtained within the last five years, with research as your primary focus. Canadian citizens may train at an Approved Institution inside or outside Canada. International applicants are eligible but must train at an Approved Institution in Canada and meet the student visa criteria. Previous… What is funded: Up to CAD 70,000 a year over a two-year term on the Foundation’s own apply-for-funding page, its request-for-applications summary, its funds-available section and its eligibility table. One paragraph of the same request for applications, and the public application portal, still print the previous cycle’s CAD 45,000… Deadline: October 5, 2026. Round: 2027 cycle.
