Who can apply
- Open to non-South Africans: the circular states "South African and international candidates are eligible". You must line up a UCT Principal Investigator first, because the PI submits the application on your behalf. Your PhD must have been awarded no earlier than June 2023, and you must not have held a full-time permanent comprehensive academic or research post. Preference may be given to applicants from historically disadvantaged South African groups, and to applicants whose doctorate is from a university other than UCT (or, if from UCT, from a different department, division or research group). There is no restriction on discipline or field.

You compile the application form, full CV with publication list and certified academic transcripts as ONE PDF and send it to your intended UCT Principal Investigator, who completes the confidential report (section 13a and b) and submits the whole package to the Postdoctoral Administration Office at [email protected] by this date.
