Prompted by the multi-country monkeypox outbreak, this study uses immunoinformatics to design a peptide-based multi-epitope vaccine against the virus, targeting its glycoproteins and membrane proteins. Seven epitopes predicted to be antigenic, non-allergenic, non-toxic and interferon-activating were linked with adjuvants into a candidate. Molecular docking, molecular dynamics and immune simulations predicted stable binding to the human TLR5 receptor and a useful immune response, pending laboratory validation.
